The Brief and Social Detox Centre offers services for those who are 18 and up and live in Saskatchewan. They focus on harm reduction. They have counsellors to help people make recovery plans. They really want people to know that the program is completely voluntary, and completely client/patient-centered, and clients are welcome to come and go as they please. They have two systems: The first is a temporary 24-max stay. The purpose is to provide impaired people a place to stay where they will be safe and monitored. The second is a voluntary 7-10 day stay. They have medical staff there to help with the withdrawal symptoms, and counsellors to help make goals for the recovery.
